This is the same detail, exported to the 6144 pixel width option, which equals a 25 megapixel DSLR. I do not think you would disappointed if a real 25 megapixels produced this level of fine detail. This shows that under some conditions the A700 is capable of very fine detail. I continue to investigate why my outdoor scenes, taken at the same ISO setting, never seem to have this type of detail. One possibility is that very short exposures such as electronic flash (shorter than 1/1000th) do not trigger the on-sensor noise reduction in the same way as exposures like 1/30th.
