This shows the native 8 megapixel resolution from raw, enlarged to 400 per cent view for a screen shot which shows the actual pixels. As can be seen, the camera can produce a detail line such as the white cable here which is essentially a single pixel detail; the faded pixels either side are essential for normal digital imaging, as you can't have an actual string of single pixels representing an object like this in full tone. The Dimage A2 remains capable of resolving, at ISO 64 and using the .MRW raw image, down to the practical limit of its sensor at pixel level and produces very few artefacts.
