If one is going to walk to Katoomba and beyond, there is no choice but to follow the highway. Here
the road is mostly a two lane country affair. There's not a lot of provision for pedestrians and the
the thick bush is close by. One really has to watch one's step. I wouldn't try it at night. You might
not be seen very easily.
