empty glass with straw wf.jpg

Still at the coffee lounge. Norma took this one and I like the shot a lot. I have been looking around
the web, trying to find out why the millions of G12 pictures don't look better than they do, especially
in the matter of apparently limited dynamic range. One reason (I think) is because all of the pictures
(even RAW) start out far too contrasty. In convertng the CR2s I find myself invariably having to wind
back the contrast, lowering the exposure slightly and pulling back highlights that are close to the brink.
I think it must be something of a "Canon thing". I dunno. I shall continue to refine my theory. :o)

Looks pretty good to me, David.
Have you looked at Photoshop CS6 new release? Supposed to be an improvement in managing contrast and highlights.

You should tell us what was in the glass....
And you've been drinking!

Norma needs a drink.
Great shot with the prism straw and words at the base of the glass.
