Still fooling around with camera gear. Here we are quite literally staring down the barrel of my
Sigma 120-400mm telephoto zoom. The reflected light is coming from one of two fabulous little light
sources that I recently purchased for my "desktop studio". They are literally two dirt cheap Kmart
desk lamps ($8 each) equipped with those great little 40 watt "warm white" (but cold to the touch)
energy saver globes. The lamps have universal twisty necks which allow me to twist them into any
desired position while the low intensity 2700 deg Kelvin light bulbs themselves allow excellent
white balance and very few white clip hotspots. I am partly delighted because they work so well and
partly because I am a certified skinflint and loved the low price.
