The "Queen Victoria Building", dating as it does from 1898, is Sydney's oldest remaining shopping
precinct. Each Christmas a great huge decorative tree style concoction soars up through the central
vestibule from the ground floor level on up. It always puts me in mind of a ballooning Alice who has
consumed the "eat me" biscuit and become trapped in the little house.
