We were visiting our friend Sylvia at her Forest Reefs farm (near Orange). The whole district has
had close to record rainfall for this time of year. The rivers, creeks and dams are high and feed
in the paddocks has suddenly outstripped the ability of stock to consume it. In this paddock, sheep
and alpacas graze together. I could hardly see the sheep but the taller alpacas emerge just a little.
from the high grass. The neighbour's paddock at the top of frame, is overgrown with a plant
called "Paterson's Curse" which bursts out in purple flowers for spring.

Great image. I'm heading west on Wednesday. I have been told the country is the best for many many years.

Most fascinating, both commentary and image, a simply shot this lovely animal in a field of flowers. Very lyrical:) Great light. VVV Now I want to know about Patterson's curse!!
