I visited my brother's G gauge garden railway today - a thing of great ingenuity and charm.
I took the opportunity to try out my brand new Sigma 18-125 OS lens, with which I am (thus far)
extremely pleased. It is lighter than the 18-200, has better performance characteristics (according
to Photozone) and seems to focus nice and fast. It is also cheaper ... done deal then!!!

Aaaaanyway this is one of Mark's completely scratch-built locomotives - a fine reconstruction of a
NSW Railcorp diesel electric workhorse from the 1960s. In fact just about everything on the "Turella
Tramway" is scratchbuilt using the most imaginative components. I have a few more pictures to show
but there'll be more to come in a few months time when I stop testing lenses and get serious about
doing a proper shoot of the Turella Tramway.

I hate to say so but I seem to remember these in their hey day. I also think there was a rusting hulk of one at Redfern I passed on the way to work until recently. Great image.
