There is also a memorial to HMAS Sydney (all four of them - two cruisers, an aircraft carrier and
a frigate) at Bradley's Head, which I have visited as part of the Walking Coastal Sydney route. The
Emben action, incidentally, was arguably this nation's first successful naval engagement. Prior to
1901, the men of war to be found here were more properly a squadron of ships belonging to Britain's
Royal Navy.
