A few metres past the track to the lighthouse is the HMAS Sydney Memorial. The Royal Australian
Navy has had FOUR ships named "HMAS Sydney". The first was a light cruiser launched in 1913, seeing
service during the First World War. In a particularly famous action, she engaged and sank the
German Cruiser, Emden. The tripod mast on display, here, comes from that vessel. Information and
