Soon we are upon the Fig Tree Bridge, which crosses the Lane Cove River - the chief northern
tributory to Sydney Harbour. This bridge is a plain, no frills affair by camparison with the last
two structures. It is supported by a series of pylons instead of a graceful arch but is still
sufficiently lofty to allow passage for the tallest yachts.
