The ferry "Narrabeen" was about to leave and so I waited to get a shot of its departure. Up to four
of these 1100 passenger "Freshwater" class passenger ferries run the route between Circular Quay
and here at any one time. They are almost the exact same size, speed and carrying capacity as the
old "South Steyne" style Manly steamers - if apparently much cheaper to operate. The trip takes a
little over half an hour and in peak times the service intervals are no more than about 15-20 minutes.
