Winter Storm, Grand Bend

A brief appearance by the sun, early morning finds Main Street deserted, and only a couple of vehicles venturing out onto the highway. At times the visibility in this view will be reduced to nil with strong winds blowing in off southern Lake Huron at the other end of the street. Truckloads of snow have already been removed from downtown.
Canada's armed forces were called in by municipal authorities to help police rescue several hundred people stranded in vehicles on a major highway just south of here. An unusually violent winter storm for us in at least 3 decades.

Wow, you got quite a snowstorm, from what the picture looks like. It's a wonderful picture you took from that location with the sun breaking through the branches. Very nicely seen and hope you managed it to get home safely. V
