This photo was just a "studio" exercise for me using the recently-acquired Sony a900 and my original 1985-vintage 50 mm 1.7 Minolta prime lens. The subject was a Zeiss Ikon Contessa camera that belonged to my father-in-law, sitting on a globe placed near one of our living room windows.
The available light level was low, I limited the depth of field with a wide aperture, and I used a polarizer as well to reduce reflections. I also chose an ISO of 1600, above the "comfort level" of the a900, but I am happy with the results.
I added the corner vignettes later in Photoshop... something I seldom do, but it seemed to fit the composition and historical feel of this shot.
