We walked all the way down the hill and found ourselves down at the river level rather quickly.
It seemed too early to take the bus back up to the hotel but I remembered reading
that there was a funicular that took you back up to the top level on the bridge.
To our surprise there wasn't a line of tourists waiting and so we hopped on.
Looking at the photo I realized that there was a accordian system on the chassis that kept the car level no matter what the incline of the tracks.
