The Madrid Metro system, which is very modern, clean and efficient, was started in 1919.
This "ghost station" is no longer in use, but it is a museum with the original tiles and advertising.

I visited that station a while ago. It's what it used to be in the old times. Funny add in Spanish but English also "Trust".
