Many visitors to the city are afraid to ride the subway.
They have some idea that the trains are populated by strange people who might conceivably do them harm.
Obviously these fears are totally unfounded.
We simply include this photo to illustrate the fact that one sees more string basses tooling around the city than one might reasonably expect to be possible.
No, really.... I think there are more string basses per block in Manhattan than any other place in the universe!
