We spent our first month in a tiny apartment in this building on Gay Street (the building with the Wisteria vine growing up ther front). Gay Street is one short, picturesque block between Christopher Street and Waverly Place in the West(Greenwich) Village. There is a steady stream of tourists, mostly French it seems, taking pictures of the street, but more especially the street sign. Although the Stonewall Bar is just around the corner, as far as I know, the street has always been called Gay Street.

Beautiful building. Yep, I have a picture of myself with the Gay Street sign too! I love it :)
