Non-stop Bird Photography | profile | all galleries >> WESTERN PALEARCTIC (WP) REGION >> Bird trip to Morocco (March 2011) | tree view | thumbnails | slideshow |
I travelled to southern Morocco and Western Sahara from 11 to 25 March 2011. This trip was mainly devoted to see and photograph North-west African bird specialities. Our trip started in the area of Taroudant, Agadir and Tamri where our main target were the Bald Ibis colonies. We then travelled from Agadir to Oued Souss and Oued Massa, and then further south along the Atlantic coast to finally reach Dakhla, the southernmost city of the Atlantic sahara. The Agadir - Dakhla road stretches along 1300km of desertic plains with the main visited areas being Guelmine, Tan Tan, Tarfaya, Chtoukan and the Aousserd area around Dakhla (oued Jenna and Gleb Jdiane). This gallery has 218 images depicting 47 species. |
