I did the bulk of the sanding while the tube was still on the mold. Afterwards I removed the mold from the inside, which was far harder than I expected. I ended up wetting the formatube with water and pulling the layers of formatube from the inside. I then sanded the rough ends of the tube and cut the rectangular hole for the light trap.
