6mm thick overexpanded Nomex honeycomb core has been wrapped around the inner layers of fibreglass cloth and held in place with elasticised strapping (from Clark Rubber) while the resin sets. This was done as soon as possible after the inner layers of cloth were applied, with a film of resin/glass bubble mix then being applied to aid bonding to the honeycomb.
