The Dragon Boat Festival on Meadow Lake in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park is an annual tradition now in its 19th year,hosts over 120 dragon boat teams from across North America, making it one of the largest dragon boat festivals in the United States. Each team competes by rowing a "dragon boat," a narrow boat decorated like a Chinese dragon with a colorful head and tail.
Its an annual sporting and multicultural event to celebrate the fifth moon (or the fifth month) of the lunar calendar.
