Las Posadas Festival at Olvera Street, Los Angeles, California

This is an annual event, conducted each night from December 16 through December 24, held in the central historical district of the city. A procession of costumed participants winds its way around Olvera Street. Before the procession, there is music and dancing and a piņata filled with candy for kids to break open. After the procession, everyone is invited to enjoy hot cups of Champurados, a sweet drink made from corn, and delicious pastries, and enjoy a little more music.
