The Hotel Colorado was at one time called the "White House of the West" because of the presidents who stayed there. Teddy Roosevelt stayed at the Hotel Colorado numerous times on his hunting expeditions. Other guests over the years included Chicago gangsters, Doc Holliday, and Molly Brown. The hotel also served as a hospital during World War II. Today it is an example of one of the grand hotels of the West, and its restaurant serves excellent food all day long.
