Upper Coyote Canyon is in the northern-most part of the Anza Borrego desert, and is gotten to by the famously treacherous “Turkey Grade.” Well, it seems that all the publicity was rather overblown, and the grade was nowhere close to my expectations. But the weather was nice, and the trip turned out to be a beautiful get-a-way from LA.
