It would be easy to increase the saturation in Photoshop to bring out the colours, to be sure. (In fact, I had done just that very slightly in post processing). A circular polarizing lens may have helped a bit in deepening the sky, but this photo was taken in late afternoon (13:54 pm - I have to change my camera's clock to DST) with the sun directly behind me. The polarizing lens would be most effective with the sun at 90 degrees to the subject, not 180 degrees as in this photo.

it's a shame all of Ontario is such a washed out palette. can you boost some warm tones in this, just for excitement's sake ? the blue/brown contrast is really nice though
