Hey thanks Bob. I shot this win a Canon 10D I think. 300mm f4. I was actually shooting some dragonfly's and this crazy Heron landed real close to me. I just took off the extension tubes on the 300 and shot away. This is a defensive posture. In a Green Herons mind extending it's neck like this make it 'blend in" with it's environment better. Silly bird...
