The Veron glider kit was designed for rudder only control. I modified it hugely. Took out most of the wing dihedral, added ailerons and flaps, and later added a bungee tow hook and a nose mounted aero-tow controlled release.
As far as I know this was the first RC glider to be successfully aero-towed to a great height from the Epsom Downs model flying site using a Hummel power model supplied by my friend Phil Finch.
Both aircraft flew superbly and landed safely to a huge applause from spectators.
