On Saturday 26th November 2011 I was privileged to ride the Bluebell Line in the elevated Guard's seat of the newly restored Birdcage Carriage No.3363 and share the delightful company of numerous Bluebell volunteers during the journey.
Please forgive the poor quality of many of the photos since the scenic shots of the line were taken through glass (hence some reflections); those and the internal shots were from my high perch on a rocking and rolling train. At times it was difficult to stay in the elevated seat, never mind hold a camera steady! A bit like being on an inverted pendulum.
Initial shots are of the 11am 'U boat' departure followed by the 12 noon train that I had the pleasure of riding on.
