Where is the Fire?
Just about to put my gear away and the sky caught alight.

Unusual red glow
Doesn`t look as brilliant on screen as the scene was but because I under exposed quite a lot to keep the feel of the image any attempts to increase saturation to what it actually looked liked (for screen that is)the image starts to band quite bad.BTW that dot is a star and not a dodgy pixel:-)

Autumn Sunset
Looked out of the window, saw the light so jumped in the car and drove out of the village for these few shots.

Try and match natures colours if you can
I saw from the sky outside that although we were getting heavy showers the far horizon was shaping up for a decent shot. So I jumped in my van and drove to a spot that would show the very distant clouds. (BTW when I do this the failure rate when you get into position is very large and more often than not the sky clouds up and thats the end.) Anyway, Because of the heavy hail and rain showers I had to stay in the van and position it so that I could shoot from the passenger seat with the window open. Even so, the wind when this was shot was gale force so everytime I took a shot I had to wipe the filter on the lens clean and dry it by the heater side vents before taking the next shot and when you consider just how quickly the sky changes at sunset it did become a bit frantic. But as I have said to many budding photographers around the clubs where I used to visit as an EAF judge is that you need to think about it, plan your visits when the sun is going to be where you need it and just keep trying till you get the shot. In the past I`ve stayed up and headed out at 2.30AM to get the mid summer sunrise.

Night Lights
Whilst on holiday on the Greek island of Kos, after dinner one evening we strolled down to the hotel`s beach and just sat on the sunbeds soaking up the atmosphere and warm summer breeze coming from the sea. As darkness fell, this image materialised across the bay from a small jetty. I rushed back to the hotel room to collect my camera and just rested it on the sunbed and held my breath.
