Franklin E. Boyt (Boyett later in his life) Born in about 1817 in Wayne County, NC. Died in June, 1861 in Tallapoosa, Ala. (on his way back from Georgia. Married Gincy A. Pike in Georgia. They lived in Heard County, Ga. Had four children there and then moved to Alabama. Where four more were born.

Franklin died in Tallapoosa County, Alabama in June, 1861.

Gincy A. Pike Boyt (Boyett) born October 28, 1824 died July 30. 1890. They married 1839.

Gincy was 15 years old when they married.

Their children were:

1. William Warren Boyett Born 1842 Died before 1870. Married Fanny Rodgers on 2/17/1864

2. Mary C. Boyett Born 9/1844. Died in 1907. Married 2 times. 1st one to Charles N. B. Chatham he was born 10/15/1840 died 5/14/1876. Married 9/16/1861. Do not have anything in this file for the 2nd marriage.

3. Lucretia Elizabeth Boyett, born 10/1846 died before 1905. Married J. W. Rhodes he was born 2/16/1855 died 1/6/1938. Married 10/16/1871.

4. Dicey R. Boyett born 1848 died after 1870.

5. Jemima Boyett, born 1853 died before 1861.

6. Rebecca Bethenia Boyett, born 10/3/1855, died 3/8/1926. Married Richard Tiner 1/1/1878 and he was born in 1856 died 1933.

7. James Frank Boyett, born 12/18/1856, died 12/18/1927. Married Elvira A. Shaw on 11/13/1879. He was born 8/11/1861 and died 9/30/1920.

8. John Floyd Boyett, (my GGgrandfather) born 9/12/1858, died 1/10/1940, married Sarah Thomas Ann Creed on 10/31/1878. She was born 8/31/1859 died 9/29/1927.

7. John Gaillard Boyett, born 4/9/1863 died 2/3/0957. Married Laura E. Waites on 7/22/1923. She was born on 3/30/1903 died 7/2/1970.

8. Rube Burrs Boyett, born 7/25/1897 died 7/4/1958. Married 1st to Lizzie Mae Scroggins, 2nd to Ophelia Hawk on 8/6/1916. Ophelia born 3/17/1902 died 12/24/1985.

9. David Audie Boyett, born 9/1/1899 died 11/9/1948. Married on 6/12/1929 to Jessie Munroe born 10/23/1902 died 5/25/1978.

4. Elsie Marie Boyett, born 2/15/0906 died 2/26/2000. Married William Jelks Maddox on 6/10/1936 Had 1 son.

5. Walter Roy Boyett, Sr. (my father) born 3/25/1908 died 1/31/1967. Married Essie Lee Swearingen on 7/30/1927. (had 7 children)

6. Floyd Boyett (Twin) born 5/7/1912 died 5/11/1937. Never married.

7. Lloyd Boyett (Twin) born 5/7/1912 died 9/29/1920. Never married.
