Railroad Tracks from Turkey Creek, south through Boyett, Wimauma and Palmetto. The railroad (Seaboard Air Line Railroad)was built by Captain C. H. Davis in 1902 and the steam engines required water stops thus creating new towns along the way. The Boyett/e family from Peru/Riverview quickly established a post office and the town was named Boyette, Captain Davis named the next stop after his three daughters (Willie, Maude and Mary). The Boyette stop included the "roundtable" and repair center for the trains.
