Services for Lucian Langston will be today (Friday) at 11:00 a.m in the Thackerville Methodist Church. Officiating ministers will be Rev. Betty Stone and Rev. Trent Baggett.

Born May 4, 1908, in Love County, Mr. Langston died January 15, 1991, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 82. He was the son of Tom and Lou Holland Langston.

A resident of Love County all of his life, Mr. Langston was a retired farmer and rancher. He and the former Aubrey Crelia were married July 2, 1938, in Waurika. Mr. Langston was a member of the Thackerville Methodist Church and the Marietta Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Aubrey Langston of the home at Thackerville; a son, Mike Langston of Austin, Texas; a daughter, Shirley Pace of the home; four brothers, Luke Langston and Fred Ruth Langston, Jr. of Thackerville, E.H. Langston of Marietta, and Chalmer Langston of Portland, Oregon; two sisters; Vena Northcutt of Marietta and Bonnie Welch of Ardmore; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Langston was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Langston.

Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Thackerville, with grandsons and nephew, Rod Langston, Troy Langston, Mark Langston, Lance Pace, Ronnie Langston, and Jeff Langston, serving as pallbearers.

Services will be under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.
