The Boyt project has three main branches from a common ancestor about 1300CE. Two branches are known to be in the UK and one branch the US. The location of the common ancestor is thought to be in Ireland and France. Records have been found in Ireland starting in 1274CE and bones have been matched in Ireland and France. No matching bones in the UK or Scotland.

This is a family tree based on BigY results that was made last year. It still pertains, just not updated like the lab tree, but easier for some to relate to. US and UK lines are noted by (US or UK). All US lines are positive for H-BYH37194 not found in the UK.

Records found in Ireland (time line): Oldest record is 1237 CE of Thomas Boyt in Bristol, residing in Drogheda, Ireland. Most detailed records are Thomas Boyt's arrest along with followers of Nicholas de Verdon in 1312 Dublin.
