R-U106 Anglo Saxon
This is the general SNP that is predicted by FTDNA for most Cockerham YDNA members. It is also the most common Haplogroup SNP for the worlds population of males and as such not very helpful in grouping of the Cockerham linages. It does rule out other populations but members can not rely on this SNP for linage. Based on the results of some members who have taken the advanced Y700 test if you are predicted M269 and have the Cockerham Surname or varent spelling your linage is likely to follow the Haplotree down to at least Z9 under the U106 section.
