I took this standing in the very center of the bridge over Montmorency Falls. This view is looking out over the northern half of the St. Lawrence River and the bridge that connects the riverside to Orleans Island.

It's interesting that for such a large waterfall and that the mouth of this river empties into such a major river, the water at the base of the falls is actually pretty shallow. People were wading out pretty far and fly fishing close to the base. If you look closely you can see one of them about 1/4 of the way from the right and about 1/4 up from the bottom.
