Ron, I have had an opportunity drop in my lap. I've never shot dance before; I spoke with the group leader, from what she described to me, I wanted to tell you I'm using your gallery as inspiration. Your figure studies are amazing, and inspirational. Thank you for sharing your work. Technical question: did you shoot on location or in the studio--was curious about your lighting.

I think the lighting is fabulous, I really like the contrast of skin and shadow. It might have been nicer to have a wider shot, and working with lights and a veil is always nice, backlit. (Something to think about.)

I really loved the photo you did of the courtesan at Vlad's in your post about sensuality. Working with moving dancers is hard, because they move. Maybe if you play really slow rythmic music and ask them to focus on super slow movement and energy you could capture more of a line.

I agree with you on the motion point. I still see movement but it seems a bit subdued somehow. However, i do love the lighting especially on the bottom left 2 - the light bouncing off of her form creates a very nice effect. Also, great compositions and capturing of (human)form. The positive and negative space in most of the set play very well together. Awesome work Ron, i look forward to seeing more!
