The school taught my Dad well and he learned a good
and well paying trade for the times. He was a Adding Machine
and then Calculator repairman for another 18 years.
The business paid very well. According to my Mom, in 1957
they had a new 1957 Ford and owned their home. This was
on an astounding monthly salary of $1500 which was amazing
for 1957 considering the median family income for that year
was estimated to be $5000.
