Sashalite Photoflash Bulbs

After the Osram Vacublitz, the Sashalite photoflash bulbs (circa 1929) are the oldest known, and very rare. They utilize either a miniature screw base (not shown here but see box carton on the right) or a bayonet (BC/B22d) cap base. The latter require a special adapter so they can be used in standard Mazda flash guns.

All the early flash bulbs are in my collection as well as the patent histories. The first flash bulbs were invented in Germany and the patents were taken over by G.E. one year after the initial market introduction. Would you like to have the full story ?

Sincerely,
Cees Veuger,
