Punctuating the mammoth size of Webster Avenue, the Eiger is a giant flowstone and rimstone speleothem. Jutting out into a vast underground lake, this magnificent formation is one of but many such displays of mineralization found thought the Webster Cave System. This image was accomplished by triggering the camera with an infrared remote. This allowed photographer C. G. Anderson (foreground) and kayak-assisted Curtis Beasley to fire two Sylvania Press 25B flashbulbs without assistance from a third person.
