Hartblei 80mm Images

Every image here was created with the Hartblei 80mm for Nikon Mount and a D3x. The lens is virtually dead to any connections with the camera, so any Exif data doesn't reflect what was happening. The only way you know what aperture you're shooting is to look at the lens itself. The image gets darker through the viewfinder as you stop down, but that's about the only clue you get. I routinely shoot with the ZF100/2 and the Coastal Optics 60 and the 200 f/2 VR. With the Hartblei you can't do some of the things you can with those lenses, but it has bokeh unequaled by any of them and sharpness/clarity equaled only (maybe) by the Coastal Optics. The first image in each sequence is the original, followed by successive crops of the same photo. I've provided larger than normal Pbase files of these, so if you want to examine them in fine detail open the first in regular page view and work your way through the "originals", which are only 1/4 the file size of the actual original jpegs. You'll have to scroll up and down for some of them. Otherwise, use the slideshow.

Thanks, Dan
