I really doubted that I would ever see this happen. My car has been sitting at the body shop since June 8, 2001! The ETA for getting the body refinished & painted was two weeks. So far (as you can see it's not REALLY finished yet) it has taken 19 weeks. When I finally talked to the body man (who I hadn't seen since the 4th of July) I asked when it would be finished; he told me 'at the end of next week'. This is what he told me in June and July, so I'm not getting my hopes up yet. You cannot drive these 5 Liter Mustangs in snow, so if it ever gets finished it goes right back into storage. Miles driven in 2001: approximately 350!
This Summer has been the worst single experience I've ever endured with any business. The garage owner couldn't locate the body man, who never answered calls or responded to any notes or messages that I'd leave for him. He kept taking other jobs and bumping me off the schedule. Before this I thought he and I were friendly with each other. The day I took these pictures he walked into the garage, started working on my car and talking to me as if he'd just seen me the day before.
