Beautiful day to hike Zealand, a little too windy for above treeline pursuits so headed to Zealand and felt pretty good so decided to add Hale which made this hike 14.3 miles with 4300 ft of ascent. Lots of birds including a Bicknell Thrush up on the Twinway and a Spruce Grouse meandering beside the trail. First time on the Lend a Hand trail so that was cool, nice stretch of rugged wilderness with a good 1000 ft of ascent. Glad to get both done as Hale can be a bit of a straggler.
