Beautiful spring day for this 11.5 mile hike up the Blueberry Ledge trail, across on Rollins and down Dicey's Mill. The ledges were an easy walkup with all the snow. The trails on both sides had recently been maintained by someone, thank you, not too many branches to contend with. Rollins though was a bit of a head slapping backpack grabbing mess and whoever broke trail after the recent snowstorm went round in circles a few times. I pulled out gai twice to make sure I was on the right track -- that section is always a mental challenge but I knew it would end eventually. Passaconaway water crossing no issue. Took me an hour or so longer than usual but most of that was the ducking and back stepping on the Rollins trail. All in all beautiful day, next time I go up there will probably need a small ice axe, and possibly crampons, that snow is going to melt and turn to ice fast in these warm temps.
