First February hike and visited Waumbek which is wooded and beautiful in the snow. Parked in the winter lot and walked up the road. The trail was broken by bare booters after recent snow which made it difficult to snowshoe, especially between Starr King and Waumbek but we did our best and tried to fill in the holes. By the time we went down a big group on snowshoes was heading up so they will put things in the right place and make it a nice track. Snowing, no views and no Gray Jays to see on the hike but met a very energetic Golden named Toby. Nice day despite the trail being a mine field.
