This is a nice 7.2 mile hike, from dry, to mud, then snow and ice! The ridge between Mt. Starr King and Waumbek is always so beautiful -- enchanted forest. We had one Canada Gray Jay visit us at the lookout right past the Waumbek summit and he posed for quite a few photos! Gorgeous day. #22 on the winter list.
