Amazing hike up Mt. Washington via the Jewell trail on Dec 26. The crossing near the base of the Cog Railway was tricky but we managed to find a safe passage a short way upstream. Not enough ice or snow for microspikes and the wind was so calm We could enjoy the summit! Beautiful day and probably the only chance I'll get to hike Washington in the winter without the ice, snow and fierce winds that usually pummel the summit. #5 on th #winter4000footer list.
