It was cloudy and socked in with light snow falling all day so no views on the Twins or on Galehead. I went out and back from Beaver Brook, about 16 miles with 4800 ft of ascent and finished with a headlamp. I saw a Barred Owl silently flying though the woods on the Gale River trail early in the morning and that made my day! Long hike but I felt strong and glad to get these done for the single season winter list. 18 finished so far, 30 to go!
