Felt like getting a good hike in with some decent elevation but it was too windy/chilly in the presidentials so went up South Twin via Gale River. Started in the clouds but when I got to the top of South the Sun was shining and the view was spectacular so I decided to go over to North and back. This way ends up being almost 13 miles with 4200 ft of ascent. Lot's of pemi loop hikers out there, very few people on the Gale River trail since the hut is closed. Ended up being a nice day and I was glad to have extra layers in my pack!
