Started out a little iffy, it was still rainy/drizzly and the water was really high. Went out and back from Beaver Brook so 16.4 miles with about 4700 feet of ascent elevation and makes for a long day. I had to take my boots off on the second water crossing and wade. Actually I almost turned around because I wasn't sure how strong the current was but a guy showed up right then and I decided to go for it while both of us were there. The rest of the hike was fine going up, Galehead first hoping to give time for things to clear up. By the time I got up S Twin the sun was peaking through then when I got to N Twin there were views! Ended up being a beautiful day but man is it hard going down when that slushy snow melts, very slippery! I took my time, snowline was around 3200 ft. I made it with spikes but I can see where some would prefer snowshoes.
